Turnkey Bulk Material Handling & Conveying System for Quarry Operations
UltraInfra required a complete material transfer network to link primary crushing stations to screening towers and intermediate surge bins across a rugged quarry terrain.
Metzix designed, fabricated, and installed three overland troughed belt conveyors totaling 1.4 kilometers in length, accompanied by heavy-duty bucket elevators, engineered transfer chutes with ceramic impact liners, and motorized plough diverters.
The entire conveying route features zero-spillage skirtboard systems, self-aligning idlers, and emergency pull-cord safety systems along every conveyor flight.
The Engineering Challenge
Severe material lump impact (up to 250mm size), steep elevation gradients, and high dust generation at transfer points.
The Metzix Solution
Installed heavy-duty rock-box transfer chutes, impact cradle beds, heavy-ply steel cord conveyor belting, and enclosed bucket elevators.
Key Results & Performance Metrics:
- 800 TPH continuous design handling capacity verified during 72-hour load trials
- Transfer point dust emissions reduced by over 85% via enclosed chute design
- Extended conveyor belt service life through ceramic-cushioned impact cradles
- Seamless integration with client central control room (CCR)
