Transfer Chutes

Transfer chutes are designed to guide and control material flow between conveyors and equipment. They reduce spillage, minimize dust generation, and improve overall system efficiency by optimizing material trajectory.
Engineering Overview
Metzix Engineered Transfer Chutes utilize Discrete Element Method (DEM) particle trajectory simulations to optimize bulk material flow between conveyor belts and processing equipment. By controlling stream velocity and centering the material load directly onto the receiving belt at matching belt speeds, our chutes virtually eliminate belt impact damage, skirt spillage, chute blockages, and fugitive dust creation. Lined with ceramic tiles, bimetallic wear plates, or polyurethane.
